[Foodie] Paradise Dynasty @ Ion

Hi Readers!!!

I was introduced to Paradise Dynasty via Groupon. Groupon is a virtual place where you can get really good deals. Anyway, I got this Groupon deal for Paradise Dynasty whereby you can enjoy 10 same-flavored Xiao Long Baos or 8 different-flavored Signature Dynasty Dumplings at S$7.90 instead of the usual price at S$19.80.

When we reach Paradise Dynasty located in Ion around 7pm+, there was already a queue. Do note that no reservations are allowed. We had to get a number and were told that we had to wait for about 45mins. We were brought into the restaurant around 8pm, and by then we had already decided on dinner.

We decided on the following items :-

Signature Dynasty Dumplings (S$7.90) - Groupon

What lovely and colourful Xiao Long Baos to look at right??? Do you know that there is actually a sequence to which flavour / colour to eat first in order to fully enjoy the taste? PS: I won't tell you how each of them taste like, you got to try them yourself. Bleah..

Chilled Sliced Pork in Minced Garlic and Soya Sauce (S$7.50)

Double-boiled Chicken Soup (S$8.80) & Yang Zhou double-boiled Meat Ball Soup with White Cabbage (S$7.50)

La Mian with Sliced Pork in Signature Pork Bone Soup (S$9.80)

La Mian with Scallops, Prawn and Crab Meat in Signature Pork Bone Soup (S$15.80)

Overall Verdict?
- Service: Generally average during the peak period.
- Food: In my opinion, I will prefer the original Xiao Long Bao, to the Signature Dynasty Dumplings (i.e. colourful Xiao Long Bao). But... If you haven't tried the colourful Xiao Long Bao, then I suggest, go try it! What's life without adventure. And yes, I love both soups. Nice! As for the noodles, I love it! You can really feel it's hand-pulled noodle... Slurp!
- I will visit this place again, once the Groupon craze is over =)
