[Foodie] Genki Sushi @ Orchard Central

Konnichiwa Readers!!!

I was awed by this Japanese Restaurant, Genki Sushi. Why? Let me explain.....

Went there for dinner yesterday. As per norm, the waitress brought us to a table for 2. As it was our first time here, she explained that we can order food through the ipad placed at the top of the conveyor belt.

If we want need any assistance we can click on the Service Call. Pretty awesome right, wait, there's more.... After you place your order, the way they serve your food isn't like the normal way (i.e. Waiter / Waitress bringing the food to your). Instead, the food is served using the conveyor belt. How? By placing the food on the Express Tray....

After you remove the food from the Express Tray, press on the blinking yellow button to send the Express Tray back into the kitchen.

Some of the food we had...

We were having lots of fun "playing" with the ipad. And we came across the "view bill" icon. Apparently you can view your bill before you go and pay at the cashier. However, do note that this "view bill" doesn't include items taken from the conveyor belt.

I think that this is a very innovative idea. So far, this is the first restuarant in Singapore that I came across with such a system. Food is fresh and nice too. I will definitely drop by to eat again! *Smilez*
