[Foodie] Man Zhu Cafe @ Chinese Swimming Club

Ni Hao Readers!!!

I didn't know this place existed until one of my friend brought me here for lunch. It's called Man Zhu Cafe located in the Chinese Swimming Club. By the way, he is a member of this place =D

While flipping through the menu, saw the set menu whereby they offer either the Asia Lunch Special or the Western Set Lunch. However we didn't order the set lunches. If you are interested, here's a picture of the their set menu.

We decided on the ala carte menu where there are a wide variety of food served. Here's a glimpse of some of their food from their ala carte menu. For their full menu, do visit them!!

Hungry already? Here are some pictures of the food we ordered....

Satay (S$5.50)
½ dozen choice of marinated chicken, mutton or pork grilled to perfection. Served with cucumber, onion, ketupat & peanut sauce
Oops... We were too hungry, and thus before I could take a picture, we were happily eating already!

Local Rojak (S$4.35)
Grilled tau pok, you tiao, pineapple, cucumber, turnip & bean sprouts tossed in shrimp paste with grated peanuts

Nasi Goreng Istimewa (S$6.70)
Fried rice with sambal, shrimps, chicken meat & mixed vegetables. Served with fried egg, chicken satay, achar & papaddum

Spaghetti Bolognaise (S$7.00)
Spaghetti sauteed with braised minced beef in tomato sauce

Chendol (S$3.10)
Shaved ice with red beans, green jelly & attap seeds served in coconut milk & melaka

Overall Verdict?
- Service: Not that bad.
- Food: The satay is awesome. The meat is really tender and soft. Loved it! The Nasi Goreng Istimewa was quite spicy. If you love spicy food then this is for you. Spaghetti Bolognaise is a huge portion and nonetheless yummy, although there are better Spaghetti Bolognaise out there. And... once again, the best part! Chendol!!! It's really yummy. A must try if you are there.
- Yep, I will probably visit this place again =)
