[Foodie] Tai Lei Loi Kei SG @ Nex

Hihi Readers!!!

A walk in Nex brought my friend and I to this place called Tai Lei Loi Kei (澳门大利来记). The original shop is located in Macau, and it's pretty popular in Macau.

Basically you have to order at the counter, and they will give you a receipt with a number on it. When the number flashes on the screen, you can walk over to pick up your food.

We decided to try out the following :-

Signature Pork Chop Bun (S$6.90)
Upgrade it to Set A, consisting of a Drink and a Sawdust Cake (S$3.00)

Pork Chop Bun: It's a very straightforward bun with just the bun and porkchop. What I liked about the bun is the bun is crispy and hot when served. However, I find that it's rather dry. So it's a must to order a drink.

Sawdust Cake: I have never tried a Sawdust Cake until this day. One point that surprised me was that the cake was not cold, although the plastic container is cold. I didn't like the sawdust cake tho, it doesn't have a taste plus the texture was... weird...

Bouncy Noodles with Pork Chop (S$7.90)

This is like a mee kia with maggie mee sauce. Nothing much to wow about.

On the tray, there is a "origin and history" of how Tai Lei Lok Kei came about, you may read while waiting for your food.

Food are pretty subjective. I may not like it, but well, you may enjoy it... So if you would like to try here's the contact details...
