[Foodie] Wedding Dinner: Conrad Centennial Singapore

Hello Readers!!!

Happy Chinese New Year and a Romantic Valentine Day to all! It's an auspicious day to blog about a joyous occasion - Wedding!

Went to a Chinese Wedding recently and it was hosted in Conrad Centennial Singapore. Held at level 3 in the Chinese Restaurant located in the Hotel.

Here are the pictures of the dishes served.

Silver Fish (Appetiser)
Golden Peony Deluxe Combination
Crispy Prawn coated with Mashed Taro, Sliced Drunken Chicken, Vietnamese-style Spring Roll, Sushi
 Abalone
Double-boiled with Chicken in Whole Coconut

My favourite dish! This is the first time I had soup in coconut for a Chinese Wedding. The coconut meat was so easy to scrap out. Yumz!

Soon Hock
Steamed with Superior Soy Sauce
Sea Cucumber
Braised with Black Mushroom and Beancurd accompanied with Spinach
Chicken
with Crispy Minced Garlic
Crystal Vermicelli and Rice Vermicelli
Stewed with Assorted Seafood
Dessert
Chilled Grass Jelly with Aloe Vera and Fruits Baked Sweet Potato in Filo Pastry
Overall, I enjoyed their food tremendously. This was by far one of the best food that I have tasted for a Chinese Wedding. It was presented with class and when the food was served to the guests, it was warm, unlike some Chinese Wedding I have attended, the food tend to be cold by the time it reached the guests' table.

Some shortfalls about holding weddings in the restaurant instead of the ballroom is that there are pillars and there is no fixed walkway for the bride and bridegroom to walk down the aisle. There is also no stage in front. But the exquisite food made up for the shortfall :D

Address: 2 Temasek Blvd Singapore 038982

Happy Wedding!
