If you are craving for Italian food, I have this really really awesome place to recommend. Head down to Etna Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria. The first impression that I had when I stepped into this place was the smell and the coziness.
When we reach at around 7pm, there were not much patrons. The crowd started to come in at around 7.30pm. Anyway, Etna served a wide variety of food and we narrowed it down to the following :-
Bread (FOC)
Antipasto Etna (S$20)
Arancini (rice balls with minced beef / pork and cheese stuffing) with Caponata (cooked salad with aubergine, pepper, zucchini, seasoned with sweetened vinegar)
Linguine con Capesante (S$24)
Flat pasta with scallops in a pink lobster sauce
Taglierini al Nero di Seppia (S$24)
Homemade pasta with squids, prawns and cherry tomato in a black ink sauce
Mousse al Pistacchio (S$10)
Mousse with pistachio flavour (from Bronte in Sicily)
Overall Verdict?
- Service: Awesome! The servers are very polite and attentive. Towards the end, the boss came into the restaurant. He chatted with us, while we waited for the bill. It was then that I learned that they had another restaurant located in East Coast, opened for about 3 years, and that this restaurant was opened for only a few months. Very friendly~~
- Food: Superb! The Antipasto Etna rice ball is very tasty, a spendid mixed. When the Linguine con Capesante was served, I went for the scallops first, it was so juicy and I savoured every bit of it. The pasta was nicely cooked and it was one of the best pasta I had ever had. Taglierini al Nero di Seppia was wonderfully done as well. Mousse al Pistacchio is one of the most delicious dessert ever. My first bite literally send me through orgasm... yes, it was that good.... a must try item *slurp*
- YES! I will revisit this place again ^^
