[Travel] JB - Nando's Chickenland (M) @ City Square

Good Day Readers!!!

I was quite skeptical about entering Malaysia, Johor Bahru (JB) ever since they introduced the Biometric Data for foreigners which started on 1 June 2011 whereby foreigners have to scan both their right and left index fingers upon entering and exiting JB. These caused massive jams during the first few weeks it was implemented, and hence my procrastination about visiting JB until today. (I wanted to visit JB in June)

Entering JB at around 3pm+ was a breeze. There were no queue and within minutes, we were on our way walking towards City Square.

One of the purpose of my visit this time was to try their Nando's Chickenland (M) which was located in City Square. (Yeah! If you have read my Malacca's post, my first visit to Nando's was in Malacca, and was craving for Nando's ever since) I was well aware of the episode involving Joanne Peh and Nando's Singapore Tanglin Mall outlet happening last month. From the news, apparently the service rendered was terrible and when Joanne and her beau left the restaurant after 30 minutes when their food were not even served, the staffs clap and cheer. I won't want that to happen to me, so for now, it's a big NO-NO to any of the Singapore outlet, which was a huge disappointment. (Maybe in future if I heard better review, I may consider)

Ok, without further ado, it's pictures time =D

Crimson Cola (RM7.50) & Madeira Red (RM7.50)
Crimson Cola: Infused with sweet and punchy pomogranate that enhance Coca-Cola's caramel notes and garnished with pop-in-your-mouth pomegranate pips, this is a fun new twist on an old favourite.
Madeira Red: A sweet, fizzy, pomegranate lemonade made with Sprite and finished with a deliciously sugary rim. Sweet and simple, everyone will love it.

Espetada (RM29.90) & Espetada Rustica (RM30.90)
Espetada: You need to see it to believe it! Tender pieces of marinated chicken thighs and fresh peppers, flame-grilled and served on a skewer, with your choice of 2 sidelines
Espetada Rustica: Tender marinated chicken thighs with sun-dried tomatoes and red onions, flame-grilled and served on a skewer, with your choice of 2 sidelines

How to order the Espetada?
Simple. After selecting whether you want the Espetada or the Espetada Rustica, select your Peri-o-meter. Let me warn you though, that the Hot and Extra Hot Peri Peri are really very hot. I have choosen the Mild Peri Peri.
After you have choose your Peri-o-meter, the next step is to choose your sidelines! Simple isn't it?

Overall Experience in Nando's?
- Service: The waitresses did attempt to smile at us. And food were served within minutes, faster than we expected it to be.
- Food: Delicious. Don't look down on the size, it was very filling. I was unable to finish my sidelines =(
- Yeah, I will probably visit Nando's in JB. At least, it's cheap and the service is not bad.

After finishing our dinner and our errands, it's time to travel back to Singapore. Well, there were long queues at the Custom. It took about 30 minutes to clear the JB Custom... and back to home-sweet-home, Singapore!

Cheers **
