Heard of Daniel Ong & Jamie Teo? I sure you all know them as Deejays before. This time they set up a cupcake shop called "twelvecupcakes". On impulse, I went to their Thompson Road outlet =P I was momentarily in awe by all the colourful cupcakes, and that's explains why I did not take any pictures of the outlet. Haha... Chose 3 flavours to try....
Cute pinkie box! It looks like there are targeting the ladies who have sweet tooth. The 3 flavours are .....
(From the Right to the Left)
Red Velvet
(Vanilla Cream Cheese on a Classic Red Velvet Cupcake)
The topping is smooth and creamy. One would think that such cream will be hardened after being exposed for some time, but the furry texture still remains. I like it that the taste is not too sweet, and there's also a hint of yoghurt taste ;) The cake at the bottom taste a bit dry though, but it's not dry to the extent it crumples upon biting.
Rainbow Vanilla
(Rainbow Vanilla Cream Cheese on a Light Vanilla Cupcake)
This cupcake taste like the Red Velvet Cupcake, just that the cupcake is different (DUH!) The topping is the same as the Red Velvet one, except the base is a little bland. This cupcake would be wondeful for those who do not like too sweet cupcakes. Personally, I prefer the Red Velvet cupcake.
PB Jelly
(Fluffy Peanut Butter on a Moist Chocolate Cupcake)
The PB Jelly taste like the Goober Peanut Butter and Jam. The first bite was that the Peanut Butter taste was overpowering. Probably a little too much. If you are a peanut butter lover, this would be awesome. This cupcake and the Rainbow Vanilla cupcake have the same cupcake base.
Overall, my favourite is the Red Velvet cupcake (yumz). There are many other flavours as follows :-
