[Foodie] Boon Tong Kee @ River Valley Road

Hihi Readers!!!

It's been a long time! Today I'm going to blog about this really awesome place which sells delicious Hainanese Chicken Rice. It's none other than Boon Tong Kee! When we reach the venue at 7pm, the place was already filled with customers. However, we did not wait long for us to be shown to our seats =D

The first thing that greeted us were the appetizer - peanuts, which were placed on the table as soon as we sat down. Do note that the peanuts are chargeable.

Appetizer (S$2) / Towel (S$0.30)

We took a while to select our dishes. The waiters and waitress were attentive despite the peak hours.

Braised Beancurd with Crab Meat and Fish Roe (S$16.80)

What I liked best about this dish is the beancurd. It's not only soft but its also melts in your mouth. The fish roe and crab meat supplement to make this dish complete. Yumz...

Signature Boiled Chicken - Half (S$13)

The chicken is tender and not overcooked. It's goes perfectly well with the chilli. However, the dark soy sauce is normal though. Usually established chicken rice stalls will have their special dark soy sauce.

Chicken Rice (S$0.60)

I was very thrilled when they presented me with the Chicken Rice in a pyramid shape! It's totally cute and unique, isn't it =) The rice do not have that overpowering garlic taste but subtle enough to match well with the chicken. Oilyness just nice, as chicken rice should not be too dry or too oily.

I believed that this place will ultimately be a tourist attraction as it's an wonderful place to dine in. Furthermore, Singapore is well known for her Hainanese Chicken Rice.

Yes yes, I will revist again ^.^
